Dr. Matteo Rossi graduated cum laude in 2007 at the Faculty of Medicine in Palermo, and in 2013, he completed his Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery residency at the University of Palermo.
During his training period, he improved his surgical and microsurgical skills, attending the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery of UAB Santa Creu y Sant Pau in Barcelona (Spain), and the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery of UZ Gent (Belgium).
In 2017, he received an international PhD in Experimental Oncology and Surgery, defending the thesis: “Breast cancer-related lymphedema: prevalence, risk factors and surgical treatment.”
He is member of many national and international scientific surgical societies and he authored and co-authored several scientific papers and book chapters.
He is currently working as staff member at the Unit of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery of the Department of Oncological and Surgical Sciences at the Universital Hospital of Palermo.
He is focused on breast surgery, microsurgical reconstruction and lymphedema treatment.
